GDS created a custom devops solution and introduced best practices to optimize their software development lifecycle including: branching strategies, versioning practices, and CI/CD pipelines. This approach reduced release times, maintained code quality, and provided a stable foundation for long-term maintenance.
On the infrastructure side, GDS implemented a cost-effective AWS multi environment approach using Terraform and Kubernetes. We integrated multiple open source technologies like Jenkins as CI tool, Prometheus and Grafana for proactive monitoring and valuable insights, Istio service mesh, Kyverno for cluster policy and security, Karpenter for autoscaling, and custom helm package configuration of their microservices.
This solution allowed VestSocial to confidently scale, remain competitive, and reliably serve its growing community of construction professional users.
